CHAPTER 349.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with Amendments Section 3 of
Article 64-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title,
"Merit System" (said Article and Section having been
added to the Annotated Code by Chapter 41 of the Acts of
1920).

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 350.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with Amendments Section 2 of
Chapter 273 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1920, said Chapter 273 relating to the regulation
of Horse Racing within the State of Maryland, and pro-
viding that appointments by the Governor of Members of
the Maryland Racing Commission shall be subject to the
advice and consent of the Senate.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 351.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 58 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title "Live Stock, " sub-title "Dairies, "
said new section to be known as Section 23-A and to follow
immediately after Section 23 of said Article, the same relat-
ing to the importation of fluid milk into the State of Mary-
land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 58 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Live
Stock, " sub-title "Dairies, " said new section to follow imme-
diately after Section 23 of said Article, to be known as Section
23-A and to read as follows:

23-A. It shall be unlawful to import into the State of Mary-
land any fluid milk that has not been produced, handled and
shipped according to the same standards and under the same
conditions applicable to milk produced in Maryland under the
rules and regulations of the municipalities into which such milk
is shipped. Any person, firm or corporation violating the pro-
visions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of $50 for the
first offense, and $100 for each subsequent offense.
