less being the defendant he has pleaded guilty, shall feel ag-
grieved by his judgment there shall be a right of appeal within
ten days to the Circuit Court for said County, and the justice
shall take from the accused his recognizance with sufficient surety
conditioned for his personal appearance to answer said charge
at the then session (if there be a session) of the said Circuit
Court or the next session of said Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 304.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 54
of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
as codified by John W. Staton and legalized by the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1914, and amended by virtue of
Chapter 212 of the Acts of 1918, and further amended by
Chapter 304 of the Acts of 1920, title, ''Worcester County, "
sub-title, "Dogs. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 94 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, as codified by John W. Staton, and legalized
by the General Assembly of Maryland of 1914, and amended
by virtue of Chapter 212 of the Acts of 1918, and further
amended by Chapter 304 of the Acts of 1920, title, " Worcester
County, " sub-title, "Dogs, " be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as fol-
lows:

94. Worcester County, and all cities, towns, boroughs in
which dogs are taxed by municipal ordinance, are exempted
from the operation of Section 195 to 199 of Article 81 of the
Code of Public General Laws title "Revenue and Taxes, " pro-
viding for taxation of dogs in this State.

Approved April 9, 1924.

CHAPTER 305.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1 of
Chapter 169 of the Acts of 1922. relating to the creation of a
special taxing area to be known as Alta Vista in Montgomery
County, said amendments being for the purpose of correcting
an error in the original Act.
