the North side thereof, and thence running and binding with the
State Road until it intersects the Linkwood or No. 14 Election
District, and thence in a Northerly or Northwesterly direction
with the said Linkwood Election District to the Choptank River
and thence with the Choptank River to the place of beginning,
and the voting place for said Precinct hereby created, shall be
in East Cambridge, at such place as may be appointed by the
Supervisors of Election for Dorchester County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Supervisors of Election
for Dorchester County, shall have transcribed from the First
precinct of the Seventh Election District of Dorchester County,
all the names of the registered voters living within the lines of
this new Precinct hereby created, upon new books to be pur-
chased by the said supervisors of election for such precinct,
provided that if the Registrar shall fail to make the proper
transfer from one precinct to the other, the voter will be entitled
to vote in the Precinct where he remained duly registered.
SEC. 3. That this Act shall take effect on the first day of
June, nineteen hundred and twenty-four.

CHAPTER 288.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 257
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fences",
relating to joint fences.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 257 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County, sub-
title "Fences" be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
257. Whenever joint fences have been or may be established
in Prince George's County, for the mutual advantage of the
owners of adjoining arable lands, each shall keep in good re-
pair his respective portion thereof in the manner following,
that is to say: Post, rail or plank fences shall be at least four
feet and a half high; wire fences of at least six wires, and
worm fences at least five feet high; and the distance in any
case shall be computed from the base of any embankment on
