houses, as provided by Chapter 727 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1920, but which is not needed for that
purpose, because the reconstruction of the State Tobacco Ware-
houses is not necessary at this time, shall be used, expended and
applied by the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium Commission
for the acquisition of a site for and the construction thereon
and the equipment of a new Institution for the White Tuber-
cular, the said sum being in addition to the sum of one hun-
dred thousand dollars ($100, 000) hereinbefore set aside for the
same purpose.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of the several counties of the State and the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore are hereby respectively directed
to levy the State taxes for the year 1925 at one-eighth (1/8) of
one cent on each one hundred dollars ($100) of assessable prop-
erty; for the year 1926 at three-tenths (3/10) of one cent on
each one hundred dollars ($100) of assessable property; for
the year 1927 at three-fifths (3/5) of one cent on each one hun-
dred dollars ($100) of assessable property; for the year 1928
at seven-eighths (7/8) of one cent on each one hundred dollars
($100) of assessable property; and for the year 1929 and an-
nually thereafter to and including the year 1941, at one and
one-quarter (1¼) cents on each one hundred dollars ($100) of
assessable property, to be collected according to law, to meet
the interest on the amount of said certificates outstanding, and
also to meet and redeem so much of the principal in each of
said years as may be represented by certificates redeemable in
each year, respectively, as herein specified in Section 2 of this
Act.

SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 281.

AN ACT to authorize the resident Judge of the Circuit Court
for Howard County and the County Commissioners of said
county to expend money now in the Court Library Fund
in the refurnishing of the Court Room and Library of said
Circuit Court for Howard County.

WHEREAS, there is now in the fund for the augmentation of
