CHAPTER 243.
AN ACT to regulate the hunting and killing of raccoons in Har-
ford County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful for any person within Harford
County to shoot, kill, take, trap or hunt for any raccoon within
the limits of said county, between the first day of January and
the first day of November in any year, exclusive of both dates,
and no person or persons shall at any time set, place, keep or
maintain any steel traps or other similar devices within said
county for the purpose of catching raccoons.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That any person convicted
before any Justice of the Peace of the herein named county
for violating this Act, shall be fined not less than ten dollars
($10) nor more than twenty-five dollars ($25) and costs for
each and every offense. The fine collected shall be paid to the
State Comptroller to be credited to the account of the State
Game Protection Fund. Provided, that any person who fails
to pay the fine so imposed shall be committed to jail for a term
not to exceed twenty-five days for each and every offense.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws, whether
public local or public general laws, inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act, are hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect, June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 244.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 7 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Carroll County, " subtitle
"Manchester, " as enacted by Chapter 155 of the Acts of
1902; said new section to be known as Section 77A and to
follow immediately after Section 77 of said Article, relating
to the taxing of dogs in Manchester.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 7
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Carroll
County, " sub-title "Manchester, " as enacted by Chapter 155 of
the Acts of 1902; said new section to be known as Section 77A,
