bers elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 123.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Carroll
County to refund to McCullough Bros., of Glen Rock, in the
State of Pennsylvania, one hundred dollars, less five per
centum, for money paid by the said McCullough Bros., for
certain auctioneer's license fees under Chapter 633. Laws of
Maryland, 1914.

WHEREAS, McCullough Bros., of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, did,
in compliance with Chapter 633 of the Acts of 1914, of the
General Assembly of Maryland, pay to the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Carroll County, the sum of one hundred dollars, in
the years 1916 and 1917, for their license as non-resident auc-
tioneers, which sum less five per centum, was paid to the Board
of School Commissioners of Carroll County; and

WHEREAS, The Court of Appeals of Maryland did, in an opin-
ion handed down on February 1, 1918, declare Chapter 633,
Laws of Maryland, 1914, unconstitutional and void; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Carroll County be and
they are hereby authorized to refund and pay to McCullough
Bros., the sum of one hundred dollars, less five per centum.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

Approved April 9, 1924.

CHAPTER 124.

AN ACT to provide for the abolition of the Sewerage Commis-
sion of Hagerstown.

WHEREAS, by Chapter 29 of the Acts of 1916, it was pro-
vided that the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown, be author-
ized to appoint four competent and upright citizens of Hagers-
town, to constitute the Sewerage Commission of Hagerstown,
