changing the name of the poorhouse in Montgomery County
from "Almshouse" to "County Home" and changing the
name of this sub-title from "Almshouse" to "County Home. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Mont-
gomery County, " sub-title "Almshouse, " as amended by Chap-
ter 262 of the Acts of 1922, said new section to be known as
Section 25A7 to follow immediately after Section 25 of said

Article, and to read as follows:

25A. The almshouse shall hereafter be known as the county
home, and wherever in this sub-title of this Article the Word
"almshouse" is used, there shall be substituted in place and
stead thereof the word "county home, " and the name of this
sub-title of this Article shall be "County Home" instead of
"Almshouse. "

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 18.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the Board of County
Commissioners of Howard County to" borrow upon the faith
and credit of said County, to the amount of One Hundred
and Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180, 000), and to issue and
sell coupon bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be used
in paying for the school sites already purchased at Ellicott
City and West Friendship, and for the erection and equip-
ment of school buildings on said sites: to provide for the
payment of interest on said bonds, and of the principal
thereof, by the levy of taxes; to create a commission to carry
out the provisions of this Act. in conjunction with the
County Board of Education; and to repeal so much of Chap-
ter 485 of the Acts of 1922, as relates to the purchase of
school sites, and the erection, equipment, enlargement or re-
pair of school buildings, and to the issuance of bonds to the
extent of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60, 000) for such pur-
poses.
