and shall be paid by the said Treasurer of the Board of Educa-
tion of Caroline County upon the order of the said building
Committee from a warrant book especially authorized and
adopted by said Committee and which said warrants shall be
numbered consecutively, and the said Treasurer is hereby
authorized and directed to pay to the contractor or contractors
employed by said Building Committee in accordance with the
terms of their said contract, upon the warrant of the said build-
ing Committee, with such sum or sums of money as shall be
certified in said warrants that such contractors are entitled to
in, the performance of the contract, and shall pay upon the
warrant of the said building Committee the cost of the plans
and specifications of the work to be done, the salary of the
architect, and such other expenses as the building Committee
have properly incurred in the discharge of their duty, and no
part of the proceeds of the said Bonds shall be paid out by the
said Treasurer, except upon the warrant of the said building
Committee.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That should the building
Committee find it expedient to reject all bids as provided in
Section 4 of this Act, they shall, in their discretion, re-advertise,
or they shall have the right to construct equip and furnish
the said school building in any other way, method or manner
as they shall deem best, and the said Treasurer of the Board of
Education of Caroline County shall pay the warrants of the
said building Committee in the same manner and under the
same terms as if the contract for the same was awarded as set
forth in Section 4 aforesaid.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That all contracts en-
tered into by the aforesaid building Committee under and by
virtue of the authority contained in this Act shall be legal and
binding upon the local Board of Education of Caroline County
as if said contract had been entered into by the said Board of
Education of Caroline County.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That the Board of
Education of Caroline County shall within thirty days after the
awarding of the contract for the erection of said school build-
ing, or as soon thereafter as is possible, proceed forthwith to
sell for cash at private or public sale the land and all improve-
ments now used as the Primary School of Denton, and which
is located on the Southwest side of the intersection of Second
and Franklin Streets in the Town of Denton, Caroline County.
