Montgomery County decide to reconstruct the North Takoma
Bridge and not to construct the secondary grade crossing as
described in Section 1 of this Act, that the bonds required to
provide the necessary funds for said reconstruction, be secured
on the property of the fourth (4th) precinct of the thirteenth
election district (Takoma) of Montgomery County.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 596.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Calvert County to subscribe to the capital stock of the Bal-
timore and Virginia Railroad Company, or of any other
corporation that shall build a railroad from a point at or
near Drum Point in Calvert County to a point at or near
Millersville in Anne Arundel County, and providing in the
alternative, that should Anne Arundel County not join with
Calvert County in subscribing for stock in a company that
shall undertake to build a railroad between or near the
termini Millersville and Drum Point, this Act authorizes
and directs the County Commissioners of Calvert County
to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Vir-
ginia Railroad Company, or of any other corporation that
shall build a railroad from a point at or near Drum Point
in Calvert County to connect with the Chesapeake Beach
Railway at or near Owings, in Calvert County; and further,
to repeal Chapter 720 of the Acts of 1912, Joint Resolution
No. 5, passed at the session of 1914, Joint Resolution No.
3, passed at the session of 1916, when and only in the event
that this Act hereby enacted be adopted in accordance with
the provisions of Section 54 of Article III of the Consti-
tution of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mart/-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed, in the name of
and for said Calvert County, to subscribe for and hold shares
of the capital stack of the Baltimore and Virginia Railroad
Company, or any other corporation that shall build a railroad
from a point at or near Drum Point, in Calvert County, to a
point at or near Millersville, in Anne Arundel County, and in
