zens' Committee subject to the approval of said Board of
County Commissioners, to adopt regulations with respect to
garbage, sanitation, erection of buildings, tearing up of
streets, speed regulations, care of property, removal of snow,
ice, and other police and health regulations; to provide pen-
alties for the violation thereof; to authorize Justices of the
Peace in said county to try and punish violators of said regu-
lations and the sheriff of said county to execute writs; also
to authorize said Citizens' Committee to borrow money and
otherwise contract indebtedness and obligate all property on
any street or avenue in Chevy Chase View, such money bor-
rowed and contracted indebtedness not to exceed 10 cents
on each $100. 00 of the assessed valuation of the real proper-
ties abutting on each side of the street or avenue on which
such money is received and the disbursement of such money
being only for indebtedness contracted on the respective
street or avenue in Chevy Chase View, a corporation for
such purposes and authorizing said Citizens' Committee to
act therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of this Act, Chevy Chase View, of
Montgomery County, Maryland, as hereinafter described shall
constitute a special tax area or district.

BOUNDARIES

The sub-divisions in said Montgomery County made by Frank
O. Rappanier, Engineer, for John L. Whittmore, et al, owners,
and known as Chevy Chase View, as per plat No. 124 in Plat
Book No. Two recorded among the land records of said Mont-
gomery County.

SEC. 2 And be it further enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Montgomery County are authorized, empow-
ered and directed to levy and cause to be collected from the
property owners at the time of the County Tax Levy for the
year 1924 and each year succeeding within said described area
Chevy Chase View, as named or created by this Act, amounts to
be fixed by them not more than 10 cents on each $100. 00 of the
assessed valuation of the real properties on each side of the
streets and avenues in Chevy Chase View, Montgomery County,
to be collected as all other county taxes in said Board of County
Commissioners and pay the amount collected to the Treasurer
of said Chevy Chase View, to be elected from their number by
