a majority of the citizens of said Chevy Chase View. Upon said
Treasurer having been duly elected as herein before provided
and giving bond to said Board of County Commissioners, and
the said Commissioners shall also order and have paid over to
said Treasurer the proportion of the County road tax to be levied
and collected in the same manner as though said Chevy Chase
view was an incorporated town and said Chevy Chase View
shall for that purpose be considered by said Board of County
Commissioners as an incorporated town of said County, and said
proportion of the county road tax received by the Treasurer of
said Chevy Chase View shall be used by said Citizens' Commit-
tee exclusively for the maintaining and repairing of the county
roads upon which said Chevy Chase View abut, and the streets
and lanes within said Chevy Chase View, that may have been
dedicated to the public or to Montgomery County and whether
accepted by said county or not; all other funds to be used by
the Citizens' Committee directly, or through said Committee
exclusively for maintaining, repairing and lighting the streets,
roads, including those upon which said Chevy Chase View,
abuts, alleys, sidewalks, parking, drainage, sewerage, sanitation
and other fillage maintenance and upkeep of the existing im-
provements, clerical and other public service, including the re-
moval of ashes, garbage and other refuse, and disposal thereof;
for the employment of a building inspector to enforce the re-
quirement of all deeds of conveyance for properties situated in
said Chevy Chase View, for enforcing such building, sanitary to
other regulations as said Citizens' Committee, subject to the
approval of the Board of County Commissioners, may prescribe
for said Chevy Chase View or for any part of said section
thereof.

All assessments where collected and paid into the Treasury
of Chevy Chase View will and shall be disbursed for improve-
ments on each of their respective streets or avenues in Chevy
Chase View to an amount not exceeding the sum total of the as-
sessment on the respective streets or avenues.

If the Treasurer should be removed by death or otherwise
and the office become vacant the Citizens' Committee can by,
not less than a majority vote, select and appoint a Treasurer for
the unexpired portion of the term vacated.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said Citizens'
Committee Chevy Chase View shall be constituted as follows:
J. Staley Elms, Earl B. White, W. E. Gardner, Harry M. Mar-
tin, Gerald H. Warthen, who shall serve until the qualification
