and denominations and at such interest, not exceeding five per
cent, per annum, as said County Commissioners may by reso-
lution direct.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County are hereby authorized and
empowered to levy a special tax in addition to such other regu-
lar and special tax against the assessable property, both real
and personal, of the village of Woodmont, such sum as may be
necessary in each year hereafter to pay the interest on the
bonds heretofore issued and such other bonds as the County
Commissioners may hereafter issue for the purpose aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That it is the purpose
and intent of this Act to validate the ten thousand dollar bond
issue heretofore issued by the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County so as to remove any possible defect by reason
of any irregularities of the aforesaid ten thousand dollars in
bonds for the improvement of the roads and streets within said
village, and it being the further intent of this Act to authorize
and empower the County Commissioners in their discretion
and in their judgment, if the best interest of the Town of
Woodmont should require, to issue bonds in an amount not to
exceed fifteen thousand dollars, to be issued and sold, and the
money realized therefrom to be used within said village for
village improvements, and to collect a special tax each year
thereafter to pay the interest and principal on said bonds as
said County Commissioners may by resolution direct.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June A. D. 1924.

CHAPTER 532.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the last wills and testaments of certain persons,
deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants, leases and deeds
made by various persons to and for the use and benefit of
sundry ministerial persons, religious corporations, vestries,
educational and charitable institutions, churches, denomina-
tions or sects hereinafter named.
