ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR. 1255

(Duckett and Clagett's Addition), be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with. amendment to read as follows:

223. The Treasurer of Prince George's County shall re-
ceive in full compensation for the discharge of his official duties
as collector of taxes levied for State and county purposes the
sum of six thousand dollars ($6. 000. 00) for each year of his
term of office, which shall be payable monthly; and shall re-
ceive no other compensation for the collection of any taxes
whether for State or county purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the Deputy and
clerks in the office of the County Treasurer shall furnish bond
in such sums as the Treasurer shall direct conditioned upon
the faithful performance of their duty and the County Com-
missioners shall pay the premium on said bond.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws, acts or parts of acts, whether general, special or local,
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and they are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June next.

CHAPTER 520.

AN ACT to amend Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "Washington County, " sub-
title "Roads, " by adding a new section thereto, to come in
after Section 339, and to be designated as Section 339A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to the Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 22, title.
"Washington County, " sub-title "Roads, " to follow Section
339, and to be designated as Section 339A and to read as fol-
lows:

Section 339A. All persons who own improved lands along
or adjacent to any of the improved public highways or roads
of Washington County are required to cut down and re-
move from and along such roads and highways all briars,

undergrowth, bushes and weeds on or before the fifteenth day
of July in each and every year, and upon failure of any such
