diately after Section 764 of said Article, fixing the compen-
sation of the firemen at the Central Police Station in Bal-
timore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 4
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Revised Edi-
tion of 1915), title "City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Police Com-
missioner, '7 said new section to be known as Section 764A, to
follow immediately after Section 764 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

764A. The fireman at the Central Police Station shall re-
ceive an annual salary of twelve hundred dollars ($1, 200) per
year, the said salary to be paid at the same time and in the
same manner as other salaries are paid to the employees of the
Police Department.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

Approved April 9, 1924.

CHAPTER 513.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Allegany
County to build additions and to make improvements on
the Court House, to borrow money therefor, to issue bonds
and levy taxes for payment of said bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Allegany County be
and they are hereby authorized to adopt plans and specifica-
tions and contract for the building of such additions and im-
provements to the Court House of Allegany County, as the
said Board of County Commissioners may deem necessary, at a
cost not in excess of fifty thousand ($50, 000. 00) dollars. No
plans or specifications shall be approved, nor contract let unless
the same shall provide among other things for rooms to be
occupied by the State's Attorney, County Treasurer, and Tax
Collector for the first collection district in the County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That in the event said

Board of County Commissioners deem it necessary to make

such improvements, that at the time advertisement shall be

made for bids for the completion of the same the said County
