1194 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 492

CHAPTER 492.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 11
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1914, relating to
the imposition of a special levy for the betterment of im-
provements in the Village of Elkridge, Howard County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 11 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1914 be and the same is hereby re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows:

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purposes
of this Act the metes and bounds of the Village of Elkridge
shall be deemed and taken as follows: Beginning at the point
where the Mill Race of the Old Hockley Mill passes under the
Viaduct Bridge of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and
thence following the course of said Mill Race down to the
Patapsco River; thence following the Patapsco River down-
stream, to Deep Run Stream; thence going up Deep Run
Stream to the place where the fourth or last course of the land
known as the Madden property crosses Deep Run Stream;
thence leaving Deep Run Stream and following the fourth
and third lines of the Nadden property reversely to the west-
ern side of the right of way of the Washington Branch of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; thence along the western side
of said right of way to the division line between the land now
or formerly owned by John H. Shaab and Thomas W. Hook;
thence following said division in a westerly course to the inter-
section of the land now or formerly owned by John H. Shaab
and Thomas W. Hook and the east side of the Baltimore and
Washington Turnpike Road; thence in a southerly direction
and bearing along the east side of said Baltimore and Wash-
ington Turnpike Road to the land of John A. Hartkis, directly
opposite the Montgomery Road; thence 'northerly along the
west side of said Montgomery Road to the intersection of said
Montgomery Road and the Lawyers' Hill Road (now a State
road); thence in an easterly direction and along the east side
of said Lawyers' Hill Road to the place of beginning; and for
the accomplishment of the purposes of this Act the persons and
property residing and bearing on the lines of the description
herein contained, as well as the persons and property residing
and bearing within said lines, shall be subject to the tax or
special levy herein provided for.
