all things in connection with his duties as Clerk of said Court
as are generally imposed and required of Clerks of Courts of a
similar nature, said Clerk, however, may be removed from office
for misconduct, inefficiency, neglect or malfeasance in office
by the County Commissioners, who are hereby authorized to
appoint his successor to fill out the unexpired term. That the
said Clerk of the Police Court shall act as secretary to the
Chief of the Chief of the Montgomery County Police force, as
same may be created by law. that he shall keep the records of
such Montgomery County Police force and shall be the general
office representative of such Montgomery County Police force.

That in addition to the salary paid to the Judge of the
Police Court the County Commissioners are hereby authorized
to pay to the Judge of the Police Court as aforesaid an addi-
tional sum of five hundred dollars annually as an expense
account to compensate said Police Justice.

That the State's Attorney for Montgomery County shall be
paid by the County Commissioners in addition to the salary
now received by said State's Attorney the additional sum of
one thousand dollars per annum.

The hereinbefore mentioned sums of money to be paid out
of the funds of the Police Court monthly. It being the pur-
pose and intent of this Act to increase the compensation of the
Clerk of the Police Court from twelve hundred dollars to fif-
teen hundred dollars per annum and to provide for an allow-
ance of five hundred dollars for the Judge of the Police Court
in addition to the salary hereinbefore provided for and to pay
over to the State's attorney for Montgomery County the sum
of one thousand dollars for his attendance before the Police
Court in addition to the salary heretofore provided for.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act, shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1924.

CHAPTER 485.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the Criminal Court
of Baltimore City to strike out the forfeiture of the bail
bond, filed by Nathan Luskin in the case of State of Mary-
land versus Harry Cohen, to cancel said bond and to relieve
the said Nathan Luskin and his property pledged thereunder
from all liability, resulting from the execution of said bond
and from said forfeiture.
