will require the expenditures of any money in excess of the
appropriation duly authorized for that purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on October 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 409.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 131
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Tes-
tamentary Law, " sub-title "Distribution, " providing that
grandfathers and grandmothers shall have the same right of
inheritance under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 131 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title "Dis-
tribution, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, to read as follows:
131. If there be no collaterals, the grandfathers and grand-
mothers or such of them as may be living shall take alike.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 410.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 58
of Article 11 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (Den-
nis Edition, 1918), title ''Frederick County, " sub-title
"Brunswick, " subheading ''Police Justice, " as said Edi-
tion was legalized by Chapter 86 of the Acts of 1918, relat-
ing to the qualifications of the Police Justice for the town
of Brunswick.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 58 of Article 11 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (Dennis' Edition. 1918), title "Frederick Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Brunswick, " sub-heading "Police Justice, " as
said Edition was legalized by Chapter 86 of the Acts of 1918,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:
