ability, and before a member may be dismissed for misconduct
or inefficiency, charges in writing must be filed against him,
specifying the time, character and place of such misconduct or
the particulars of such inefficiency, and a trial held by said
Merit Board after reasonable notice to the accused.

SEC. 65-D. A member of the Police Force may be retired
from the Force after twenty years of active service, on one-half
pay, if permanently incapacitated for active police duty, if they
contribute three per cent, of their current salary to a Pension
Fund. If a member of the Force does not desire to contribute
to a Pension Fund, he receives no Pension from the City when
retired. Also there shall be no provisions in the law under
which a member may apply for retirement or be retired at a
certain age limit. In case any contributing member of the Pen-
sion Fund may be killed or dies from injury sustained in the
discharge of police duty, then the amount he has paid into the
Pension Fund shall go to his widow or nearest relative.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted by the authority aforesaid, That
the Police Force of the City of Annapolis shall come under the
provisions of this Act on January 1, 1925, and all members of
such Police Force at that time shall continue as members but
shall be subject to all other provisions of this Act, but it shall
be competent for the Merit Board mentioned and constituted by
this Act to be appointed and to organize and prepare eligible
lists for appointment and promotion of members of the Police
Force of Annapolis at any time after the passage of this Act.

CHAPTER 394.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 49
of the Acts of 1914, title "An Act for the better protection
of fish in certain streams of Garrett County. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 49 of the Acts of 1914, title "An Act for
the better protection of fish in certain streams of Garrett
County", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so
as to read as follows:

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person or persons who are non-residents of the
State of Maryland to take, catch or kill or fish for in any man-
