sioners, town Treasurer, members of the Board of Election Su-
pervisors, and other town officers) as is possessed by a justice
of the peace and a notary public. Any person who swears
falsely before said Secretary Commissioner shall be guilty of
the crime of perjury and shall be subject to the penalties pro-
vided by the laws of the State of Maryland.

(F) That all contracts made by said Commission on behalf
of said town shall be made in the name of the Town of Cottage
City by The Cottage City Commission and shall be signed by
the Chairman Commissioner or acting Chairman Commissioner,
and shall be attested by the Secretary Commissioner who shall
seal the same with the town seal. No Commissioner and no
other town official shall be directly or indirectly personally fi-
nancially interested in any contract awarded or entered into
by said Commission on behalf of said town.

(G) That no member of said Commission shall receive out
of town funds or property any salary for his services as such
member of said Commission. The Secretary Commissioner may
however, charge such fee or fees for administering oaths as
justices of the peace and notaries public are by law allowed to
charge, and no more; Provided, however, that such Secretary
Commissioner shall charge no fee for administering oaths of
office to Commissioners, the town Treasurer, the members of the
Board of Election Supervisors, and other town officials.

(H) That said Commission shall have no power to appoint
any person to any official position or office in said town to which
is attached any salary payable out of town funds or property
except in the case of the town Treasurer.

(I) That said Commission shall by resolution appoint a
town Treasurer to be known as The Cottage City Treasurer,
who shall also act as Clerk to said Commission. The salary of
said town Treasurer shall be sixty (60) dollars per annum.

(J) That each of the Commissioners appointed in Section
13 of this Act shall, before entering upon the duties of his
office, take oath, before a justice of the peace or other officer or
person (including a notary public) authorized by law to ad-
minister oaths in Prince George's County, that he will diligent-
ly and faithfully discharge all the duties of his office. Each
of the Commissioners elected under Section 11 of this Act shall
likewise take such an oath but such oath of any of such last
named Commissioners may be taken either before the retiring
