ballot for the election of said Committeemen. Any person

desiring to be a candidate for Committeemen at large shall
have his name placed on the ballot for the election of said
Committeemen provided a petition signed by twenty-five quali-
fied voters and bona fide residents of the Town shall so request,
That said Berwyn Citizens' Committee shall hold regular and
open meetings each month on a day and hour to be determined
by said Committee and shall have power to organize their own
committee, and that a special meeting of said Committee may
be called by a majority of said Committeemen or shall be called
by a majority of said Committeemen or shall be called upon the
petition of twenty-five (25) bona fide residents and qualified
voters of said Town and that at least one notice of said special
meeting shall be posted in each precinct of said Town, in a
public place, at least five (5) days previous to the date fixed
for such special meeting. Said Berwyn Citizens' Committee
shall have power to name two of its members for the purpose of
registration of said voters, who shall have for this purpose all
the powers of registration officers for any election in the State
of Maryland in so far as the Town of Berwyn is concerned.

SEC. S. And be it further enacted, That any member of the
Berwyn Citizens' Committee may be removed from office by a
Board of five (5) bona fide residents and qualified voters of
said District, who shall be appointed by the remainder of said
Berwyn Citizens' Committee, upon the charge of malfeasance
or misfeasance in office, preferred by two or more members of
said committee, after due notice of such charge and after an
opportunity has been given for the defense thereon, and a
public hearing duly fixed therefor. The said Treasurer of said
Berwyn Citizens' Committee and other officers and employees of
said Town shall hold their office or position at the pleasure of
said Berwyn Citizens' Committee, or in conformity with con-
tracts which may be made by and between said Committee and
such officers or employees for a period not to extend beyond the
limits of the terms of office of said Committee.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That said Berwyn Citi-
zens' Committee shall not expend for material or work in con-
nection with anyone undertaking a sum exceeding three hun-
dred ($300. 00) dollars, without first having advertised the spe-
cifications therefor, and inviting bids for the same for at least
three (3) weeks in some newspaper published in Prince George's
County and the posting of notices thereof in at least one (1)
public place within each precinct, after which, in the absence
