 Kent County fs The jurors for the right
honourable the Lord prop.ry it now is for
the body of Kent County afd upon their
oath do present that Thomas Yourkson late of Shrewsbury parish
in the County afd labourer the tenth day of June Anno Dom
Seventeen hundred and eight at the parish afd in the County
afd within the jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication
with a Certain Esther Goodin and then and there did beget a bastard
Child on the body of her the Same Est^h^er to the high displeasure
of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in Such Case
offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary
that now is his good rule & Government & ag.st the form of the act
of Assembly in Such Case lately made and provided
                                                            T francis Cler: pac.

    And the afd Thomas Yorkson in his proper person comes and Saith that
he is in no Sort guilty of the premises upon him imposed as by the afd Indictment
it is alledged and thereof he puteth himselfe upon the Country
                                                            Thomas Yorkson in p.a p.a

    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he is guilty
                                                                                  T ffrancis Clk pac.

    And now here at this day to wit the Eighteenth day of Novemb.r Anno Domini One
Thousand Seven hundred and twenty Nine being the third tuesday in Said Month Came
the afd Thomas Yorkson and relinquishes his averment afd and withdraws his plea
And Saith that he cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against him
brought Nor but that he is guilty of the premises upon him Imposed as by the
afd Indictm.t it is alledged  And thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is
Considered by the Court here Att the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said
County the Same day last mentioned  That the afd Thomas Yorkson pay the Sum
of thirty Shillings Current money for his committing the Crime afd of fornication
and also pay the Sum of                                                                    pounds of
Tobacco Cost accrueing on the premises afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sherf of Kent County keep the afd Thomas in Safe
Custody untill the fees afd shall Satisfie
