hundred and twenty nine that the afd Sarah Lewis pay the sum of
thirty Shillings Current Money for her fine for Committing the Crime
afd ^according to Act of Assembly in Such Case lately mad and provided^ & also to pay the sum of two hundred and fore pounds of Tob.o Costs
accruing on the premises afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered that Surety be gave ^for^ fine and fees be given on which M.r
Joseph Young of s.d Co.ty saith that he will pay the Co.ty the sum
of thirty shillings for the fine afd and the Cost thereupon
accrueing

honorable the Lord Proprietary that now is
for the body of Kent County afd upon their
oath do present that Richard Fillingham late of S.t pauls parish
in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of June Anno Domini
Seventeen hundred twenty and eight at the parish afd in the Co.ty
afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornecation
with a Certain Sarah Lewis and then and there did beget a
baster Child on the body of her the Same Sarah to the high
displeasure of Almighty God to the Evel Example of all others in
Such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the s.d L.d Proprietary
that now is the Good rule & Government and against the form
of the Act of Assembly in Such Case lately made & provided

    And the afd Richard Fillingham in his proper person cometh
and saith that he Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as
afd against him brought nor but that he is guilty of the premises
upon him imposed as it is by the afd Indictment alledged and
thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered
by the Court here viz.t at the Court house in the Town of
Chester in s.d Co.ty on the third Tuesday in June being the Seventeenth
day of s.d month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and
twenty nine That the afd Richard Fillingham pay the Sum of
thirty Shillings Current money for his fine for Commiting
the Crime afd according to Act of Assembly Lately made & provided
