Seventeen hundred twenty and seven at the parish afd in the County afd
within the Jurisdiction of this Court the ears of one pig of ^the^ value of twenty
pounds of tobacco of the Goods and Chattles of a certain Charles Greendage
without the knowledge against the will of the s.d Charles with force
and arms to wit with one knife did Cut and mark and other harmes to the
s.d Charles then & there to the great damage of the same Charles and against
the peace of the Said Lord propry that now is his good rule and Government &c.a
wherefore the afd Attorney prayeth the advice of the Court herein the
premisses for the said Lord Propry and due process of Law against the afd
John in this part to issue to answer to the afd Lord propry of and upon the
Premisses &c.a

    And the afd John Alexander in his proper person cometh & Saith
that he is not guilty in any Sort of the premises above upon him imposed
as by the Indictment it is alledged and thereof he puteth himself upon the Cuntry

    And he who followeth for the Lord propry in like manner saith he is guilty
                                                                        T Francis p.a L.d Prop.ry

    And now at this Court viz the third Tuesday in June being the Seventeenth
day of s.d Month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and twenty nine Came
against the ^s.d^ L.d propry by Tench Frances Clk of y.e Indictments and the afd
John Alexander in his proper person and withdraw his plea afd and now
saith that he cannot gainsay the Information afd so as afd against him
brought nor but that he is guilty of the premisses        above upon him
imposed as by the afd Information it is alledged & thereupon Submits
to the Court  Therefore it is Considered by the Justies here On the
third Tuesday of June being the Seventeenth day of s.d Month Anno
Domini Seventeen hundred & twenty nine that the afd John Alexander
pay the sum of ffifty pounds of Tobacco to the Right hon.ble the Lord
propry as his fine for commiting the offence afd & allso pay the
sum of six hundred ^& one^ pound of Tobacco Costs accruing on the premises afd
ordered by the Court here that the Sherf of s.d County keep the s.d John in
his Custody untill he Shall pay the fine & Cost afd thereupon
afterwards Came into Court John Alexander & assumed to pay the
fine & Costs afd
