of Maryland Thomas Martin of Kent County in the province afd Sadler and Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Right honourable the Lord proprietarie in the sum of twenty pounds Sterling to be made and leveyed on his body goods and chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors conditionally that if he shold not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday in August next to answer unto what shall be objected against him on his Lordship behalf for commiting fornication with a certain Joan Edwards and in the mean time he is to be good behaviour wherewith he acknowledges himself Content Att the same time came George Garnett and William Davis both of Kent County planters and Acknowledged themselfs indebted to his said Lordship In the sum of ten pounds sterling each to be made and leveyed on their bodies goods and chattles Lands and tenements conditionally that if the afd Thomas Martin should not make his personall appearance at the then next court to be held for the afd Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday in August then next ensuing to answer unto what should be objected against him on his Lordships behalf for committing fornication with the afd Joan Edwards and in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour wherewith the same George Garnett and William Davis Acknowledges themselfs Content C.s hynson I hereby certify that George Garnett and William Davis delivered up the above named Thomas Martin who Is Committed into the sherrifs Custody after the above Recognizance taken ord before the Court in discharge of the same Recognizances C. s hynson Be it Remembred that on the first day of July Anno Dom. one thousand seven hundred and thirty four came before me one of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Kent County Charles Smith of Kent County planter and acknowledged himself indebted on his Lordship in the sum of ten pounds sterling to be Leveyed on his body goods and chattles Lands and tenements conditionally that August then next ensuing to give her Evidence on his Lordships behalf against Thomas Martin and acknowledges himself Content and |
