attorney afd and the Same Joseph Nicholson in his proper person comes
and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Information afd So as afd against
him brought nor can he say but that he is guilty of the premisses
above upon him Imposed as by the afd Information it is alledged
and thereupon Submits to the Court        Therefore it is Considered
by the Justices here to wit the same day and Year last mentioned
That the Same Joseph Nicholson be fined the sum of thirty Shill.s
Current money to the use of his Lordship his heirs and Successors as
a fine for Committing the breach afd And also the Sum of two hundred
and Sixty        pounds of Tobacco cost accrueing on the
premisses afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by this Court that the fine afd be Delivered the Sherriff of
Kent County    And John Gresham Gent. Sheriff of Kent County
Acknowledges the Receipt thereof

their oath do present that Patrick Clark of S.t Pauls
parish in the County afd Blacksmith the twenty
first day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty & three at the
parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon
William Graves in the peace of God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there
being with force and Arms an assault did make and him the Said Patrick
then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life it was
much dispaired & other harms to him then and there did to the great
damage of the Said William and against the peace of the Said Lord
proprietary his good rule and Government               T francis Clk. par.
Test W.m Graves Thom.s Rasin John Maddin on the back of the same
Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz.t True bill p Rob.t Dunn foreman

    And at Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said
County on the third tuesday in March being the Nineteenth day of Said
Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three
Came his Said Lordship by his attry afd and the same Patrick in
his proper person and defends the force and Injury comes &c.a
and saith that he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon
him Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and of this he puts
himself upon the Country &c.a    p Clerk
