Assembly in that case made and provided                    T francis

    The Same Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz True bill by
                                                                Rob.t Dun foreman

    And the afd Mary came and in her proper person app.rd
at this Court at the Court House in the Town of Chester in said Coty
on the third tuesday in June being being the eighteenth day of
Said Month Anno Dom. one Thousand seven hundred and
thirty four  And sayd she Cannot gainsay the Indictment
afd so as afd against her brought nor can She say but that she
is guilty of the premisses above upon her Imposed as by
the afd Indictm.t it is alledged And thereupon Submits to the
Court    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit
the Same day and year last above mentioned That the
afd Mary Beasely to have twenty five Lashes well laid
on her bare back tell the blood appear and for as a punishment
for Committing the fornication afd in form afd Confest and
also pay the sum of Three hundred Seventy & five pounds
of Tobacco costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this
Court

    It is also Considered by the Court here the same day and year
last mentioned That the Sherriff of Kent County take the afd Mary
Beasely into his Custody and Execute the punishment in the
Judgment afd Specified and afterwards to bring her into Court
againe of which precept to wit John Gresham Gentl.
Sherrif of Kent County makes Return on the day and year
last Said that he hath Executed the punishment in the Judgm.t
afd and also hath here the said Mary Beazley    before y.e Co.rt

    And now at the Same Court it is ordered that the afd Mary
Beasely be kept in safe Custody untill the fees afd Shall be
Satisfied
