1733 Bellows is by this Court here discharged And now here at this Court to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came John Cann jun.r and in his proper person appeared and prayed that James Cann his Recognizance taken for the appearance of ^him^ the afd John Cann jun.r at this Court may be discharged Ordered by this Court here That the same Recognizance prayed James Cann afd his Recognizance taken as afd in the Sum of ten pounds Sterl. for y.e appearance of the afd John Cann. jun.r Att this Court as an Evid.c as afd is by this Court here disch.d there being no cause Shewn to the Contrary And now here at this Court to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Com. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came Christopher Bateman jun.r afd and in his proper person appeared and prayed that his Recognizance taken as afd for his appearance at this Court may be disch.d Ordered by this Court here That the Same Recognizance taken as afd be discharged as prayed Christopher Bateman jun.r his Recognizance taken as afd in the Sum of ten pounds Sterl. for his appearance as an Evid.c against the afd Mary Jones on his Lordships behalf The Same Recognizance is by this Court here disch.d There being no cause Shewn to the Contrary John Cann jun.r James Cann & Mary Bellows & Christopher Bateman jun.r all Sworn as Evidences for his Lordships to the Grand Jury against the afd Mary Jones After which The Grand Jury returnd to the Court The Indictment following Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Mary Jones late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Spinster the tenth day of December Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three at the Parish afd in the County afd within the jurisdicion of this Court with force and Arms one Linnen Napkin of the Value of thirty pounds of Tobacco one linen apron of the Value of fifty pounds of Tobacco one other linen apron of the Value of one hundred pounds of Tobacco one pair of Sumps and a Stomacker belonging thereto of the Value of one hundred pounds of Tobacco of the goods and Chattles of a Certain John Cann then and there being found then and there did feloniously did Steal take and bear away Contrary to the Peace of the Said Lord propry that now is his rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately made and provided Test James Cann John Cann Jun.r Mary the wife T francis of Francis Bellows Christopher Bateman On the afd Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz.t True bill by me Rob.t Dunn foreman And now here at this Court came the afd The Lord prop.ry by Tench Francis his attry and the same Attry prays that the afd Mary Jones to the afd Indictment may answer And the afd Mary in her proper person comes and Saith that She in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof She putteth her Self upon the Country Mary Jones in p.ra psona And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith guilty T francis p ld p.ry |
