Sitting Thereupon Richard Davis of Kent County Planter and Acknowledged himself indebted to the Right Hon.rble The Lord prop.ry in the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the Same Mary Spearman Shall not appear at any time during this Courts Sitting to Answer unto what Shall be objected her on his Lordships behalf on Account of her feloniously Stealing the goods and Chattles of the Same Margaret Shiping and in the mean time She is to be of good behaviour wherewith He Acknowledges himself Content Ordered by this Court that John Wright jun.r enter into recognizance for his appearance any time this Court as an Evidence against the afd Mary Spearman Thereupon the Same John Wright jun.r of Kent County Planter in his proper person and present in Court Acknowledges himself Indebted to the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry in the Sum of five pounds Sterling to be made & Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors Conditionally That if he doth not appear at any time during this Court Sitting to give Evidence on his Said Lordships behalf against the afd Mary Spearman wherewith he Acknowledges himself Content Ordered by this Court that the Same M.rs Margaret Shiping give Security for her appearance dureing this Court Sitting to prosecute on his Said Lordships behalf the afd Mary Spearman Thereupon Charles Hynson of Kent County Gentl. and present in Court in his proper person and Acknowledged himself Indebted to the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry in the Sum of five pounds Sterling to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the Same Margaret Shiping Shall at any time dureing this Court Sitting appear and prosecute on his Lordships behalf against the afd Charles Hynson acknowledges himself Content John Wright jun.r afd is Sworn on his Said Lordships behalf against the afd Mary Spearman the Same Evid.c is Sent to the Grand Jury After which the Grand Jury returns a bill of Indictment which is as foll. viz.t Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Mary Spearman late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Spinster the Serv.t of Richard Davis the eighteenth day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty three at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of the Court with force and Arms one white Callico Gown of the value of five hundred pounds of Tobacco of the goods and Chattles of a Certain Margaret Shippey then and there being found then and there feloniously did Steal take and bear away Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Proprietarie that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately made and provided |
