1733 Arthur Miller Agrees and promise to pay the Sum of five hundred pounds of Tobacco as afd And Thereupon the Court Orders that the afd Mary Graves Serve the two Seven Years as afd to the Same Arthur Miller his heirs and assignes And also that the afd two Mullatto Children Serve till they Arrive Each of the age Thirty one Years to the Same Arthur Miller his heirs and assignes
his bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before the Justices of our County Court held for Said County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County Immediately to Answer unto a Certain Information for Concealing a Taxable to wit John Smith And that the Same Sherrif have at the Same Court the Said writ &c.a And now here afterwards at the Said Court Court to wit at kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third Tuesday in March being the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came John Gresham Gentl. Sherrif of Said County and made return to the Court here thereof endorsed as foll. viz.t Cepi Corpus p Jn.o Gresham Sherf Kent County fs.t Be it Remembred that Tench Francis Gent. attorney of the right honourable the Lord proprietary that Now is who for the Same Lord prop.ry in this part prosecuteth doth come here into the County Court of the Same Lord prop.ry of Kent County afd to wit at Chester Town in the County afd the nineteenth day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three before James Harris Esq.r and his associates the said Lord prop.ry his Justices of Kent County Court afd And for the Same Lord prop.ry who give the Same Justices here to understand and be informed that John Hall late of Morgans Creek Hundred in Shrewsbury Parish in the County afd Gent the nineteenth day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three was possessed of a house in the Same Hundred and County and within the Jurisdicion of this Court being and then and there was the chief person and Master of the family in the Same House then resideing and that Thomas Morsell Cunstable of the Same Hundred duly Authorized and qualified the Same nineteenth day of June in the year afd did repair in person to the Same house and did then and there require of the Said John Hall a true List from under his hand distinctly naming all the taxable persons which he then had within his said family and also he the Same John Hall then and there did give now the Same Thomas Morsell a list and Account of Sundry taxable persons in his Said family then resideing Yet he the same John Hall the Laws of this Country |
