479 the County afd Spinster the tenth day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three at the Parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did Commit fornication with a Person to the Jurors afd unknown and did permit the Same unknown person then and there to have Carnal knowledge of her body and to beget then and there a bastard child on the body of her the Same Mary to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the evil Example of all others in Such case offending contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in that case made and provided Test Sarah Miller T francis On the Same Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz.t True Bill by me Rob.t Dunn foreman And now here at this Court to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came The afd the Lord prop.ry by Tench Francis his attorney and the afd Mary Graves in her proper person And the Same Lord p.ry by his Said attorney Saith that for as much as he hath not Evidence Sufficient to maintain the afd Charge in the Indictment afd Specified against the Said Mary Graves he will not prosecute the Same Indictment any further Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here that is to Say the same day and year last said that the afd Mary Graves as to the Indictment afd She go thereof without day and be therefrom acquitted Also it is Considered that the Said Mary Graves pay the Sum of Two hundred and Six pounds of Tobacco Costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court Jam.s Smith Clk
and him Safe keep So that he have his body before the Justices of our County Court now held for the Same County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County to answer unto a Certain Indictment for Committing fornication and haveing beget a bastard Child on her body Contrary &c.a And that the Same Sherrif have at the Same Court the Same writ &c.a And now here afterwards to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom.
