    Kent County fs.t  The Jurors for the Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is for
the body of Kent County upon their Oath do present that Pharaoh Mingo late of S.t
Pauls Parish in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of October Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred thirty & three with force and Arms at the parish afd in the County
afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court one pen knife of the value of ten pounds of
Tobacco and one pair of Shirt Sleeve buttons made of Silver of the value of
Twenty pounds of Tobacco of the goods and Chattles of a Certain John Gelleylean
then and there being found then and there feloniously did Steal take and bear
away Contrary to the Peace of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule
and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately
made and provided                                    T Francis

    And the afd Pharoh Mingo being called appeared to the afd Indictment
and the afd Pharoh Mingo in his proper person cometh and Saith that he Cannot
gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he is
guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd
Indictment it is alledged and thereof he putteth ^Submits^ himself unto the Court &c.a

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County at
the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday
in November being the Twentieth day of Said Month Anno Domini One Thousand
Seven hundred and thirty three That the afd Pharaoh Mingo for Committing
the felony afd as afd Confest Stand one hour in the Pillory and to have on
his bare back twenty one Lashes well laid on tell the blood appear and
also Pay the four fold of the afd goods of the value of twenty pounds of Tob.o
the four fold of which Amounts to Eighty pounds of Tobacco to be paid to the
afd John Gelleylean And also it is Considered That the afd Pharaoh Mingo
pay the Sum of Seven hundred and Ninety three pounds of Tobacco costs
accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court

    It is also Considered by the Court here at this day to wit the day and
year last mentioned That the Sherriff of Kent County take the afd Pharaoh
Mingo into his Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd Specified
and afterwards to bring him into Court again of which precept to wit John
Gresham Gentl high Sherriff of Kent County makes Return on the day
and year last Said That he hath Executed the punishment in the Judgment
afd and also hath here the Said Pharaoh Mingo before the Court

    Samuel Fleming being an Evidence in the afd cause comes into Court
and Prays an allowance for two days attendance The Same being Sworn Saith
that he attended this Court as an Evidence two days  Ordered by this Court that
the afd Pharaoh Mingo pay to the afd Samuel Fleming the Sum of
sixty pounds of tobacco for his two days attendance as afd
