43 Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said Co.ty this ninteenth day of Novem.r Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Eight that the afd John James pay the sum of three pounds as a fine for his afd Crime of Committing Adultery in form afd Confest as also that he pay the sum of two hundred twenty four pounds of tob.o Costs accrueing on the psses to the officers of this Court &c
in the County afd the Servant of Arthur Miller of said County Gent. the tenth day of October Anno Domini Seventeen hundred twenty & Eight with force and arms at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court two gunns of the value of thirty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland each of the goods & Chattles of the afd Arthur Miller then and there being found then & there feloniously did steal take & bare away Contrary to the peace of the said Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule & Government as against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made & provided Tench Francis Cler. pac. Test John Evans On the bottom of the afd Indictment was as folls viz.t A true Bill p Sam.l Wickes foreman And the afd Thomas Hill in his proper person cometh and saith that he is in no sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is |
