a Certain Lydia Brutton of the Same place and that She the said Mary Copper
do not Depart the Said Court without leave then this Recognizance be
void otherwise be and Remain in force and Virtue  Taken and acknowledged
before me one of his Lopps Justices of the peace for Said County

    Att which Said third tuesday in August being the twenty first day of Said
Month Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came
the afd Mary Copper and appeared and prayed the Same recognizance
might be discharged  Ordered by the Court that the Same recognizance
be discharged

    James Ringgold afd entered into recognizance for the afd Mary
Copper in the afd Sum of five pounds Sterling is by this Court here
discharged &c.a

    William Kendall Lydia Bruton and Mary Copper Sworn and
sent to the Grand Jury and the Same Grand Jury Return the foll to wit

    Kent County fs  The Jurors for the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry that now
is for Kent County afd upon their oath do present that Laughlin Obrian
of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Joyner the tenth day of July Anno
Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three at the parish afd in the County
afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon Lydia Bruton in the
name of God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force
and arms an assault did make and her the Said Lidia then and there
did beat wound and evilly treat So that of her life it was much despaired
and other harms to her then and there did to the great damage
of the Said Lidia and against the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good

The Same Indictment was endorsed viz.t Ignoramus p Simon Wilmer foreman

    Ordered by this Court that the afd Laughlin Obrian give Security for his
appearance at next Court and good behaviour &c.a  thereupon
Laughlin Obrian of Kent County Joyner present in Court in his proper
person in Court cometh and Acknowledge himself indebted to the Right
honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is in the Sum of twenty pounds
Sterling to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands
and Tenements to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors
Conditionally that ^he^ the afd Laughlin Shall not make his appearance
at the next Court to be held for Said County ^on the third tuesday in Nov.r next^ and that in the mean time
he is to be of good behaviour ______________________________
