Test John English W.m Blackston Morgan Huff & William Graves The Same Indictm.t was endorsed as foll. viz.t true bill p Simon Wilmer foreman And the afd Samuel Glen came and Saith that he cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor can he Say but that he is guilty of the assault afd as by the Indictment afd it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in August being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty three That the afd Samuel Glen pay the Sum of five hundred pounds of Tobacco as a fine for the use of the Said Lord prop.ry for Commiting the assault afd in form afd Confest and the Sum of three hundred and five pounds of Tobacco costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court Ordered by this Court that John Gresham Gentl Sherrif of Said County keep the afd Samuel Glenn in Safe Custody untill the fine afd Shall be Satisfied to the afd the Lord prop.ry Ordered by this Court that the afd Samuel Glen give good Security for his appearance at next Court to be held for Said County on the third tuesday in November next ensueing and in the mean time he is to be of good behav.r Samuel Glen afd of Kent County Gentl present in Court in his proper person cometh and acknowledged himself Indebted to the Right honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is in the Sum of ten pounds Sterling to be made and Leveyed on his goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if he the Same Samuel Shall not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County on the third tuesday in November next and that in the mean time he is to be of good behaviour wherewith he Acknowledges himself to be therewith Content William Blackiston of Kent County planter present here in Court cometh and Acknowledges himself Indebted to the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry that now is in the Sum of five pounds Sterl to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the afd Samuel Glen Shall not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County on the third tuesday in November next and in the mean time he was to be of good behaviour wherewith the same William Blackiston Acknowledges himself Content &c.a |
