August Court 1733 _________ John Gresham and James Smith of Kent County Court & present in Court in their proper persons Acknowledges themselves indebted to the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry that now is in the Sum of five pounds Sterling Each to be made and Leveyed on their bodies goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the afd Nathaniel Hynson Shall not make his appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said Coty on the third tuesday in Nov.r next ensueing to Answer unto an Indictment found against him for assaulting John English and that in the mean time he is to be of good behav.r wherewith the Same John Gresham and James Smith Acknowledges themselves therewith to be Content John English W.m Blackston Morgan Hurtt & W.m Graves all Sworn ag.t Sam.l Glen and Sent by the Grand Jury
goods & Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally if he the afd Samuel Glenn doth not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships Court to be held at Chester Town in Kent County the third tuesday of August next then and there to Answer to Such matters and things as Shall be objected against him by John English of Said County Concerning Him the Said Samuel horse whipping the said John &c.a and in the mean time that he the Said Samuel be of the good behav.r and do not depart the Court without Licence Then this Recognizance to be void otherwise be & remain in force and Virtue taken and Acknowledged before me one of the Said Lord prop.rys Justices for Said County Geo Skirven Att which Said third tuesday in August being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty Three Came the afd Samuel Glen and appeared and prayd he might be disch.d from the afd recog.c Ordered by this Court here that the afd recognizance be discharged as prayed Samuel Glen afd his recognizance taken as afd in the Sum of ten pounds Sterling for his appearance as afd and to Answer as above is by this Court here disch.d there being no cause Shewn to the Contrary Kent County fs The Jurors for the Right Hon.rble the Lord prop.ry for Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Samuel Glen of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Gent the tenth day of July Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and three at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon John English in the peace of God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and arms an assault did make and him the s.d John then and there did beat wound and evilly reat so that of his life it was much dispaired ______________________________________ |
