and did permit the Same unknown person then and there to have Carnal
knowledge of her body and to beget then and there a bastard Mullatto
Child on the body of her the Same Martha to the high displeasure of Almighty
God to the Evil Example of all others in Such case offending Contrary to the
peace of the Said Lord proprietarie that now is his good Rule and
Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in that Case

    On the Same was endorsed as foll. viz.t Billa Vera p Simon Wilmer foreman

    And the afd Martha Tippett in her proper person comes and Saith
that She Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So afd as afd against
her brought Nor but that She is guilty of Commiting fornication
with A Negro Man and therby begett her with Child as above
upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged And
thereupon Submits to the Court  Therefore it is Considered
by the Justices here to wit at Kent County at the Court house in the Town
of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the
nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred
and thirty Three That the afd Martha Tippett Serve the Space of
Seven Years to the use of Kent County for her Committing the offence
afd in form afd Confest and also pay the Sum of two hundred
and Sixteen                pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses
afd to the officers of this Court

To the Sherrif of Kent County That he take Mary Ryley late of Shrewsbury
Parish in the County afd Spinster if She Should be found in his
bailiwick and her Safe keep So that he have her body before the
Justices of our next County Court to be held at our Court house in
the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June then
next ensueing to answer unto a Certain Indictment was in our Said
Court for Committing fornication with a person unknown and did permit
the Same unknown person to have Carnal knowledge of her body
and to begitt two bastard Children &c.a  And that the Same Sherrif
have at the Said Court the Same Writ &c.a
