 Command was given On the twenty Sixth day of March
Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three
To the Sherrif of Kent County that he take Stephen
Glanvil of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Planter and Joseph
Nicholson of the same parish in the County afd Gentleman
if they Should be found in his bailiwick and then Safe keep So that he have their
bodies before the Justices of our next County Court to be held at our Court house in the
Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June then next ensuing to answer
unto a Certain Indictment in our Said Court for assaulting a Certain Oliver Shaw
and that the Same Sherrif have at the Said Court the Same Writ &c.a

    Att which Said Court to wit at Kent County Court House in the Town of Chester in
Said County on the third tuesday in June being the Nineteenth day of Said Month Anno
Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty three being the day of return of said
writ Came John Gresham Gentl Sherrif of Said County and made return to the
Court here thereof endorsed as foll. viz.t Cepi Corpus p Jn.o Gresham Sherrif

    Kent County fs.t  The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord proprietarie that
now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their oath do present that Stephen Glanvil
of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Planter and Joseph Nicholson of the Same
parish in the County afd Gentleman the tenth day of October Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred thirty and two at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of
this Court in and upon Oliver Shaw in the peace of God and of the Said Lord prop.ry
then and there being with force and Arms an assault did make and him the
Said Oliver then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life
it was much despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great
Damage of the said Oliver and against the form peace of the Said Lord prop.ry

    And the afd Stephen Glanvil and Joseph Nicholson in their proper
persons comes and Say that they cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as
afd against them brought Nor can they Say but that they are guilty
of the premisses above upon them Imposed as by the afd Indictment
it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court        Therefore it is
Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County at the Court House in
the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the
nineteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred
and thirty three that the afd Stephen Glanvil pay the Sum of
