    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherrif of Kent County that he immediately cause to
Come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a To Recognize &c.a because as well
&c.a of which Said precept the Said Sherrif to wit John Gresham Gentl now here at
this day to wit the twentieth day of March Anno Dom. one Thousand Seven hundred
and thirty two makes return that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his
pcept he was Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the day and year last
mentioned came againe the afd Ld pro.ry by his attry afd and the afd John Coleman
in his proper person and the Jurors of that Jury being impannelled and called
likewise Came to wit Robert Dunn Morgan Hurt Vincent Hatchenson Henry Trulock
Samuel Gooding David Jones Robert Roberts William Deane Richard Knowlsman
William Moore Daniel Bryan and John Hankin who being duely Elected tryd
and Sworn to Say the truth in the premisses upon their Oath do Say John
Coleman is guilty of the felony he Stands Indicted and by Robert Dunn
there foreman all So Say    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices
here to wit at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County
on the third tuesday in March being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno
Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty two  That the afd John Coleman
Stand in the pillory the Space of half an hour and that afterwards he
receive at the Publick whipping post fifteen Lashes well laid on his bare
back till the blood appear and pay the four fold of the Goods afd being
Value to Ninety pounds of Tobacco the four fold of which Amounts to the
Sum of Three hundred and Sixty pounds of Tobacco as a punishment
for his afd Crime of felony According to the form force and effect of the
Verdict afd and also it is Considered that the Same John Coleman pay the
Sum of Eight hundred and four pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the
premisses afd to the officers of this Court

    It also Considered by the Court here at this day to wit the day and
year last mentioned That the Sherrif of Kent County take the afd John
Coleman into his Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd
Specified and afterwards to bring him into Court againe

    Of which precept to wit John Gresham Gentl. Sherrif of
Kent County makes return on the day and Year last Said that he hath
Executed the punishment in the Judgment afd and also hath here
Ready the Said John Coleman before the Court
