pounds Tobacco  And also doth undertake the payment of all fees to the officers of
this Court on the premisses afd &c.a

John Howell
 The afd John at November Court last entered into
Recognizance in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling for his
appearance to this Court to answ.r unto an Information for
abusing M.r John Evans one of the Justices of this Court
To which the Said John Howell to y.e Same Recognizance appeared and prayed he might
be disch.d and his Suretys for his Recognizance  Ordered by this Court that the Same
Recognizance and his Suretys be disch.d  The afd John Howells Recognizance
taken as before is disch.d  And John Williams and William Baily his Suretys in the Sum
of ten pounds Sterling Each for the appearance of the afd John Howell be disch.d there
being no cause Shewn to the Contrary &c.a

    Kent County fs.t  Memorandum that Tench Francis Gent. attorney of the right
honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is for the County afd who for the Same Lord prop.ry in
this part prosecuteth doth come here into Kent County Court before William Frisby Esq.r
and his associates his Lordships Justices of the Same County to Wit at Chester Town in the afd
County the                                    day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty & two and
for the Same Lord prop.ry doth give the Court here to understand and be informed that the Said
Lord prop.ry by his Letters patent bearing date the                            day of                Anno
Dom. one Thousand Seven hundred thirty &                             at the County afd did Constitute
John Evans of the Same County Gent one of his Justices to keep the peace in the Same
County which Same John afterwards to wit the                        day of                     in the
Same Year there in due form of Law was qualified to execute the Same trust and office
and that John Howell of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Cooper knowing the premisses
the tenth day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty & two at the parish
afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court to the Said John Evans (the
Same John then and there in the due Execution of his Said office being) in the presence
and hearing of many liege Subjects of one Lord the King that now is unlawfully and
injuriously did Say Speak and with a Loud Voice pronounce and publish these Contemptuous
and approbrious English Words Dank you (the afd John Evans meaning) You (the
Same John Evans againe meaning) may kiss my Arse (the arse of the Same John
Howel meaning contrary to the form of the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case
provided    Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court here in the
premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd John Howell
in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a
Test John Jones Mariner Sam.l Glenn Math.w Howard    T francis Cler. pac.

    And now here at this Court to wit at Kent County Court House in the Town of Chester
in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the twentieth day of Said Month
Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty two Came the afd John
Cometh in his proper person and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Information
