Indictments Exhibit an Information against Same James Ringgold for
the offences of Commiting fornication with the afd Dorcas Cleaver &c.a

 The Grand Jury haveing presented William Ferth
for assaulting William Richardson &c.a
    Which presentment was framed into a bill w.ch is as foll.
Kent County fs  The Jurors for the right honourable the
Lord proprietarie that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their oath do
present that William Ferth late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Planter the
tenth day of March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred thirty and two at the parish
afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon William Richardson
in the peace of God and of the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and
Arms an assault did make and him the Said William Richardson then and there
did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life it was much despaired and other
harms to him then and there did to the great Damage of the Said William Richardson
and against the peace of God the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and dignity &c.a

    On the Same was endorsed as foll. viz.t  True Bill p Simon Wilmer foreman

    The afd William being called came and in his proper person cometh and Saith that
he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Indictment
is alledged and thereof he puteth himself upon the Country    W.m fferth in proper psons

    Notwithstanding the plea afd The afd William in his proper person here in Court
Cometh and with draws the plea afd  And in his proper person Saith that he
Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he is
guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged
and thereupon Submits to the Court    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to
with at Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the
third tuesday in March being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom. One Thousand
Seven hundred and thirty two  That the afd William Ferth being find the Sum of two
hundred pounds of Tobacco to the use of The Right Hon.rble the Ld prop.ry &c.a for his
Commiting the offence of assaulting the afd William Richardson and also pay the
Sum of four hundred fifty eight pounds of Tobacco Costs arising on the premisses afd
to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by this Court that John Security be gave for fine and fees by the afd
William Ferth

    Upon Which Charles Hynson of Kent County Gentl present here in Court in
his proper person cometh and Saith that he will pay to the afd Lordship
