 The Grand Jury presents the Same for Commiting
fornication with the afd Martha Davis
The Grand Jury deliv.rs the Indictm.t ag.st Same Endorsed
Billa Vera Simon Wilmer foreman

    Thereupon Command was given this present Court to wit on the third
tuesday in March ^being the twentieth day of Said Month^ Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty two

    To the Sherrif of Kent County that he Should take Edward Beck jun.r
late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Planter if he Should be found
in his bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before the
Justices of our Said Court now Setting Immediately to Answer unto a Certain
Indictment for Committing fornication with Martha Davis &c.a  And that the
Same Sherrif have at the Same Court the Said writ &c.a

    At which Said Court to wit the Same day last mentioned Came the afd
John Gresham Gent Sherrif of Said County and made return of the afd
writ to the Court here thereof Endorsed as fol. Cepi Corpus John Gresham Sher
Kent County fs  The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord prop.ry that
now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their oath do present that
Edward Beck Jun.r late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Planter
the tenth day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and two at the
parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did Committ
fornication with Martha Davis and then and there did beget a bastard Child
on the body of her the Same Martha to the high Displeasure of Almighty
God to the Evil Example of all others in Such case offending Contrary to the
peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Government and against
the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case made and provided

    The Same Indictm.t was endorsed as foll. viz.t
                        Billa Vera p Simon Wilmer foreman

    And the afd Edward Beck jun.r in his proper person Comes and Saith that
he Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought
nor but that he is guilty of the fornication afd above alledged as
by the afd Indictment is Set forth And thereupon Submits to the
Court    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at
Kent County ^at the^ Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on
the third tuesday in March being the twentieth day of Said Month
