James Boyer
 Kent County fs  The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord
proprietary that now is for the body of Kent County upon his
Oath do present that James Boyer late of Shrewsbury Parish
in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of March Anno Domini
Seventeen hundred thirty and one at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion
of this Court did Commit fornication with Rachel Bostick and then and there
did begit a bastard Child on the body of her the Same Rachel to the high displeasure
of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in such case offending Contrary
to the peace of the Said Lord proprietary his good rule and Government and against
the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately made and provided

    The Same Indictment was endorsed true bill James Moore foreman

    The afd James at this Court to wit the third tuesday in November being the
twenty first day of Said Month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and thirty two Came
the afd James Boyer and in his proper person appeared to the afd Indictment

    And nowhere the afd Lord proprietary by Tench Francis Clk of the Indictments
of this Court Saith that there is not Evidence to Support the Charge in the afd
Indictment On which the Court make inquiry therein and appearing to be true the
Court orders a Noli prosequi to be entered to the same  Therefore it is
Considered by the Justices here to wit the Same day last mentioned That the afd
James Boyer as to the afd Indictment he go thereof without day and that he be
therefrom Acquit And also it is Considered That the same James pay the
Sum of two hundred and two pounds of Tobacco costs accruing on the premisses
afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here that John Gresham Gent Sherrif of Said County
keep the afd James in Safe Custody untill another Indictment by made and
fild against him
