November Court 1732 Thereupon George Whitehead of Kent County Planter present here in Court in his proper person and Acknowledged himself indebted to the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary in the Sum of five pounds Sterling to be paid to his Said Lord Ship his heirs and Successors And to be made and Leveyed on his body Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally That If the afd Anne Whitehead Shall not make her personall appearance at next Court to be held for Said County on the third tuesday in March next then and there to give Evidence on his Lord Ships behalf on the afd Indictment against the afd James Thomas Jun.r wherewith he acknowledges himself Content The afd James Thomas Jun.r pleading not guilty to the afd Indictm.t The Same is Indictment is Continued untill next Court M.r John Gresham Sherriff of Kent County makes return to this Court the pannell of the Grand Jury viz.t James Moore foreman
The above Sworn a Grand Jury And the Act of Assembly against Wood Rangers Road Charge given and Sent out Ordered by the Court here that the Clark of this Court make out new Warrants for the Roads and that the Roads Remain as last Year Christopher Bateman Jun.r and William Sincocks appointed Press Masters for the afd County viz.t Chris.r Batemen for S.t Pauls Parish and William Sincocks for Shrewsbury Parish Thomas Rasin appointed Cunstable of Lower South Sassafras hundred And comes into Court And ^is^ Sworn and takes all the Oaths appointed by Act of Assembly and the Oath of a Counstable and makes and Subscribes the Test and Oath of abjuration And also to take Care that the Irregularity of Negros in that part it was formerly directed in Shrewsbury Parish he carefully put |
