November Court 1732 that John Cracklin late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd planter the tenth day of August in the year afd in the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon James Jones in the peace of God and of the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and Arms an assault did make and him the Said James then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life it was despaired to the great damage of the Said James and against the peace of the Said Lord proprietary his good rule and government Wherefore the afd Attorney prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord proprietary and due process of Law against the afd John Cracklin in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord proprietarie of and upon the premisses &c.a The Same Information being Exhibited at last August Court being the third tuesday of Said Month and the fifteenth day Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two The Same was Continued untill the Next Court being the third tuesday in Nov.r At which Said third tuesday in November being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two Came the afd John Cracklin and in his proper person appeared to the afd Information And at the Same Court Saith that he Cannot gainsay the afd Information So as afd against him brought nor but that he is guilty of the assault afd as by the afd Information it is alledged And thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County Court House in the Town of Chester in SAid County on the third tuesday in November being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and thirty two That the afd John Cracklin be find the Sum of one hundred pounds of Tobacco as fine for Commiting the assault afd as afd Confest and that the Same be paid his Lordship &c.a And also it is Considered that the Same John pay the Sum of three hundred and thirty pounds of Tobacco fees accruing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court Ordered by the Court here that Security be gave for the fine and fees afd Thereupon Philip Kennard of Kent County Gentl. present here in Court in proper person promises to pay the fine afd to his Lordship being one hundred pounds of Tobacco and the fees accrueing to the officers of this Court &c.a And the Same John Cracklin is therefrom discharged Jam.s Smith Clk
