June Court 1732 Kent County and assumed the fees afd for the afd Richard Houghton Be it Remembered that on the Eleventh of this Instant April Anno Dom. 1732 John Hankins and Isaac Freeman both of Kent County did acknowledge themselves Justly Indebted unto Right Honourable the Ld Prop.ry of the Province of Maryland in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling money to be Leveyed on there Body goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if a Certain Richard Houghton of Cæcil County in the Province afd Doe not make his personall appearance before the Justices of Kent County in the province afd the third tuesday of June then and there to answer unto Such Matters and things as Shall be objected against him Concerning his Begitting a Bastard Child on the Body of a Certain Sarah Boyer of the afd County and Do not Depart without Leave of the Court that then this recognizance taken before are to void otherwise to Stand and Remain in full force G Wilson And now at this Court the afd third tuesday in June being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two came the afd Richard Houghton and in his proper person appeared to the afd Recognizance Ordered by the Court here that the Same be disch.d as prayd The afd John Hankins and Isaac Freeman There Recognizances afd are by this Court here disch.d there being no cause Shewn to the Contrary The Deposition of Sarah Boyer of Kent County in the province of Maryland after being Legally Sworn on the Holy Evangilist of Almighty God Deposeth that on the Sixteenth day of May Anno Dom. 1731 a Certain Richard Houghton of Cæcil County had Carnal Knowledge of his Body and then and there did Begitt a Bastard Child upon her Body and further Saith not Aprill 11.th 1732 the above Sworn to before me G Wilson
ten pounds Sterling to be Leveyed on his body goods & Chattles Lands & Tenements Conditionally if he Shall make his personall appearance before the Justices of June Court next to be held for the County of Kent to give Evidence on his Lordships behalf Concerning an assault and battery on committed by a certain William Tidmarsh & in the mean time if he Shall keep the peace & be of good behaviour then the afd Recognizance to be void & of none effect John Evans And now here at the third tuesday in June being the twentieth day of Said Month Anno Dom.
