287 Jun.r late of S.t Pauls Parish in Kent County afd planter the tenth day of Octob.r in the year afd at the Parish and County afd within the jurisdicion of this Court with force and Arms a Saddle crupper the proper chattle of Joseph Trulock of the Same County planter voluntarily unlawfully and maliciously and without the licence and against the will of the afd Henry did cut mangle and destroy to the damage of the Said Henry to the evil and pernicious example of all malicious and base malefactors in Such offending and against the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Government Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd William Graves in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a And the afd William Graves in his proper person comes and Saith that he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Information it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon the Country W.m Graves Jun.r p.a p.ra And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he is guilty T francis p Ld pro.ry Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he Immediately cause to come here twelve &c.a By whom &c.a Who neither &c.a To Recognize &c.a because as well &c.a of which Said precept the Said Sherrif to wit Joseph Young Gentl now here at this day to wit the third tuesday in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one makes return that he hath here Ready twelve &c.a as by his pcept he was Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the Same Day and Year last mentioned came againe the afd Ld prop.ry by his Attorney afd and the afd William Graves in his proper person and the Jurors of that Jury being Impannelled and called likewise came to witt Gideon Pearce Robert Dunn Francis Barney John Tilden Richard Davis Thomas Wiatt Rich.d Willis James Moore Benj.a Griffith William Deane Lak.o Middleton & Thomas Wilkins who being duely elected tryd and Sworn to Say the truth in the premisses upon their oath Do Say William Graves Jun.r afd is not guilty of the Trespass above Expressed as by the afd Information it is alledged and by Gideon Pearce there foreman all So Say Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at a Court held for Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one That the afd William Graves as to the Informacon afd he go thereof without Day and that he be therefrom Acquitt and also it is Considered That the afd William Graves Jun.r pay the Sume of five hundred and Eighty four pounds of Tobacco costs & charges accrued on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court &c.a Jam.s Smith Clk |
