March Court 1731 thousand Seven hundred and thirty one That the afd William Chorom pay the Sum of three hundred pounds of Tobacco to the Right honourable the Ld prop.ry &c.a as a fine for Commiting no assault afd in form afd Confest And also it is Considered that the afd William Chorom pay the Sum of Eight hundred twenty four pounds of Tobacco cost Accrueing on the premisses afd to whom they are due &c.a Jam.s Smith Clk Ordered by the Court here That the afd William Chorom be In custody of Joseph Young Sherrif of Kent County untill he hath paid the fine and Charges afd Joseph Mann and Evid.c in the above cause proves he attended Six days Ordered that the Same William Chorom pay the afd Joseph Mann the Sum of One hundred and Eighty pounds of Tobacco for Six day Attendance as afd The afd William Chorom at last November Court entered into recognizance in the Sum of ten pounds Sterl appear at this Court to answ.r as afd and also at the Same Nov.r Court Francis Barney entered into Recognizance in the Sum of ten pounds Sterl for the afd W.m Choroms appearance at this Court to answ.r as afd And now here at this Court to wit the third tuesday in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one Came the afd W.m Chorom and in his proper person appeared to the afd Recognizance and prayd he and his Surety might be discharged &c.a This Court here discharges the afd William Choroms recognizance and the afd Francis Barneys recog.c there being no cause Shewn to the Contrary Joseph Mann at the afd Nov.r Court as an Evid.cs ^in y.e afd cause^ entered into recognizance in the Sum of five pounds Sterl. for his appearance at this Court and also George Gleaves at the afd Nov.r Court entered into Recognizance in the Sum of five pounds Sterl. as Security for the afd Joseph Mann at this Court And now here at this Court to wit on the third tuesday in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court one pair of Breches of the value of one hundred pounds of tobacco one Jackett of the value of three hundred pounds of tobacco two Shirts of the value of one hundred pounds of Tobacco each one pair of Shoes of the value of fifty pounds of Tobacco one worsted Cap of the value of forty pounds of tobacco and one pair of hose of the value of forty pounds of Tobacco of the Goods and Chattles of William Sowerby then and there being found then and there feloniously did Steal take and bear away contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Governm.t and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately made and provided &c.a On the back of the afd bill was endorsed as foll. viz.t A True Bill Sam.l Wickes foreman And the afd William Blake in his proper person cometh and Saith that he gainsay afd Indictment it is alledged And thereof he putteth himself upon the Country |
