261 prop.ry doth give the Court here to understand and be informed that William Ringgold late of S.t Pauls Parish in Kent County afd planter with many others malefactors to the Same attorney unknown the twenty ninth day of August Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred twenty and nine with force and Arms the close of Thomas Ambrose of the Same County planter called Queen Charlton at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did break and enter and twenty pannels of a fence of his the Said Thomas made with rails of the value of one hundred pounds of tobacco then and there Standing erected to inclose the corn of him the Same Thomas in the Said close then growing then and there did break pull Down and bear away and the Said corn of him the Said Thomas Ambrose in the Said Close then groweing of the value of Three thousand pounds of Tobacco with horses Steers cows and Bulls then and there did eat up tread down and consume to the great damage of the Said Thomas Ambrose to the evil and pernicious Example of all other malicious and ill disposed persons in Such case offending and against the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Government Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court herein the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd William in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a At the third tuesday in March being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty the Grand Jury then made a presentment of the Trespass afd Signd Math.w Howard foreman and the Court ordered an Information to be Exhibited by the Clk of the Indictments of this Court on the Same trespass and thereupon the same was Continued untill the third tuesday in June then next foll. At which Said third tuesday in June being the the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one Came the afd Ld prop.ry by his attry afd and the Same William Ringgold in his proper person appeared and prayd a further Continuance untill the third tuesday in August next and and he hath it the At which Said third tuesday in August being the Seventeenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. 1732 afd Ld prop.ry by his attry afd and prays further leave to be Continued untill the third tuesday in Nov.r next and it is granted &c.a At |
