Gent attorney of the Right honourable the Lord prop.ry
that now is for the County afd who for the Same Lord prop.ry
in this part prosecuteth doth come here into Kent County
Court before W.m Frisby Esq.r and his associates his Ldships Justices of the Same
County to wit at Chester Town in the afd County the nineteenth day of August
Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred thirty and one and for the Same Lord prop.ry doth
give the Court here to endorst and be informed that Noah Hampton of
S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of June Anno Dom.
Seventeen hundred thirty & one at the parish afd within the Jurisdicion of
this Court wittingly and willingly did commerce deal with and receive from
Adam the proper Slave of Simon Wilmer an Inhabitant and resident in the
Same Parish and County three half pence Current money of the Kingdom of
Great Brittaine (the Same Noah then and there knowing the the afd Adam to be
the proper Slave of the Said Simon) without leave or licence first had or
returned from the Said Adams master his Mistress dame or overseer for his
doing contrary to the form of the Act of Assembly in Such case lately made
and provided  Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court
here in the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law
against the afd Noah in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry
of and upon the premisses &c.a
        And the afd Noah Hampton in his proper person cometh and
