    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he is Guilty
                                                                                                    T francis p.r p.a

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherrife of Kent County that he Immediately
cause to come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a To Recognize &c.a who neither &c.a
because as well &c.a of which Said precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young
Gentl now here at this day to wit the third tuesday in Nov.r being the Sixteenth
day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one makes return
that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his pcept he was Commanded.

    And now here afterwards to wit the day and year last mentioned came again
the afd Ld p.ry by his attorney afd for the County afd and the afd Benoni Williams
In prop.r person and the Jurors of that Jury being Impannelled and called
likewise came to wit        Notwithstanding which came the afd
Benoni And Saith that he Cannot gainsay the
Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he is guilty of
the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is
alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court        Therefore it is Considered
by the Justices here to wit the third day of November Anno Dom
being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
and thirty one  That the afd Benoni Williams for the Committing the
Crime as afd Confest he Stand in the pillory one hour and to receive
on his bare back tell the blood ap.r thirty Nine Lashes and pay the four
fold of the afd Goods &c.a Amounting to the Sum of Eight hundred pounds
of Tobacco  And also pay the Sum of four hundred thirty Seven pounds of
Tobacco cost accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court

    It is also Considered by the Court here at this day to wit the day and
Year last mentioned that the Sherrife of Kent County take the afd Benoni
Williams into his Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd
Specified and afterwards to bring him into Court againe of which
precept to wit Joseph Young Gent high Sherrife of Kent County makes
return on the day and Year last mentioned That he hath Executed
the punishment in the afd Judgment and also hath here the Said
Benoni Williams before the Court

    Ordered by the Court here That Joseph Young Gent. high Sheref
of Kent County keep the afd Benoni Williams in Safe Custody untill
the four fold and fees afd be Satisfied According to Act of
Assembly in Such case made &c.a
